About Me

I am Sujatha Warrier. I call this “A Daughter’s Blog” because this blog has been created to share my father’s poetry.

Written during the pre-Internet era, Father’s poems still remain in print and between book covers. However, it’s high the time the poems were brought out from the closed book shelves into the vast, wide and open virtual space. Hence this blog. To present his poems right here so lovers of his poetry can reach out and read them as and when they choose. (Please read more ‘About the Poet’.)

With introductions in English and audio renditions of the poems in Malayalam, I have tried to give the visitors to this blog a multi-layered experience of Father’s poetry. (Please read more ‘About this Blog’.)

As a daughter, this blog has been a delightful and gratifying journey for me. As a blogger, I am on a unique and intriguing exploration into a poet’s mind. As a writer and a poet myself, I am grateful for this pilgrimage of learning and revelation.

And, now, just a few words about myself. I am a writer and editor by occupation, and a poet and translator by inclination. My published works include four collections of poems: Pranayam (Love) – Limited Version (an e-book of translated poems), One More Line and Other Poems, Fireflies (micro poems), and The Attic & Other Poems (illustrated poems).
