ഉള്ളും പുറവും (ആലാപനം)

A poem, when rendered, conveys the subtle nuances of the poem which may go unnoticed by the reader. However, each performer adds his or her own flavour to the poem, enhancing the listener's experience of it.

I share with the readers a rendition of the poem, Ullum Puravum, by Dr. K. V. Rajagopalan.

ഉള്ളും പുറവും

മഞ്ഞിൻ കണത്തിലനന്തമാമാകാശ-
മണ്ഡലം ബിംബിച്ചിടുന്നപോലെ,

വാർമഴത്തുള്ളിയിലാദ്യന്തഹീനമാം
ആഴി ചുരുങ്ങിയൊതുങ്ങുംപോലെ,

പണ്ടഗസ്ത്യൻ മുനിയൊറ്റയിറക്കിനാൽ
അംബുധിയാകെ കുടിച്ചപോലെ,

എന്നുള്ളിനുള്ളിലീ ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡമണ്ഡല-
മെല്ലാം പ്രതിഫലിക്കുന്നുവെന്നോ?

ഇക്കാണും ജ്യോതിർഗ്ഗണങ്ങൾ, ചരാചര-
ലക്ഷങ്ങളൊക്കെയുമെൻ്റെയുള്ളിൽ

രാജിക്കും സത്തതൻ ബിംബങ്ങൾ മാത്രമോ?
ഏകമാം സത്യമതൊന്നുതാനോ?

നീലക്കാർവർണൻ്റെ ചോരിവായ്ക്കുള്ളില-
ഗ്ഗോപി യശോദ കൺപാർത്തപോലെ,

ഉള്ളും പുറവും നിറഞ്ഞൊരസ്സത്യമുൾ-
ക്കൊള്ളുവാനുള്ളമുണർന്നിടാവൂ!
